Coordinator: Ruth Kelly
The objectives of the School and Family Liaison programme are to help parents become more involved with their children’s education by providing them with opportunities to keep up to date in subjects such as information technology, maths, English and Irish.
There are a wide range of courses on offer to ensure that parents are given variety and choice. They are flexible in delivery, content and duration to suit the parents’ needs. They are organised and delivered in consultation with the parents, Home School Community Liaison Co-Coordinators, community workers and the tutors. In addition, themed family learning programmes are delivered, from time to time, as a way of encouraging parents to return to learning.
Check out this highly user-friendly website for parents of primary school children (and younger) http://www.helpmykidlearn.ie/
New programmes will commence in September 2018. Contact Ruth Kelly for further information or if you have any requests for course with parents in your school.
